"ENGAGED!" Meg, 56, captioned a hand-drawn photo of her and John, 67, on her Instagram account.

The thespian was previously married to Dennis Quaid, while the musician was previously married to Priscilla Esterline, Victoria Granucci, and Elaine Irwin.

While it's unclear is Ryan pursued other relationships in that time, Mellencamp reportedly dated model Christie Brinkley for over a year. The star was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left hand during an outing in NY, according to Entertainment Tonight. Just one month later, a source confirmed that they were dating, telling the outlet that "they have a bond".
