The Lion Air crash is the worst airline disaster in Indonesia since 1997, when 234 people died on a Garuda flight near Medan.
Boeing said its bulletin underscored "existing flight crew procedures" created to address circumstances where the information coming into the cockpit from the sensors was wrong.
The latest directive follows advisories issued by USA watchdog Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Boeing regarding the B 737 MAX planes after the crash of a Lion Air aircraft in Indonesia last month.
The US planemaker said investigators looking into the Lion Air crash had found that one of the "angle of attack" sensors on the aircraft had provided erroneous data.

Over a period I've tried to approach things differently, and some of those decisions are a bit risky; some have paid off, some won't.
One of the critical ways a plane determines if a stall is imminent is a measurement known as angle of attack, which is a calculation of the angle at which the wind is passing over the wings.
"Whenever appropriate, Boeing, as part of its usual processes, issues bulletins or makes recommendations regarding the operation of its aircraft". According to the company, the instructions are routine for trained pilots.

Investigators are expected to focus on how a single sensor's failure resulted in a faulty command that didn't take into account information from a second sensor, said John Cox, CEO of Safety Operating Systems.
There are also procedures for pilots to follow in the event of missing data from damaged sensors on the fuselage skin, but it remains unclear how much time the crew of flight JT610 had to respond at the relatively low level at which they were flying.
On Monday Nov. 5, CNN published an update on the crash investigation from Capt. Nurcahyo Utomo of Indonesia's National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) noting that the FDR review also concluded that the aircraft's airspeed indicator had been malfunctioning on four consecutive flights prior to the crash. It is believed the plane plunged at over 600mph, but the cause of the accident is still under investigation. But the plane's computers will resume trying to dive as soon as they release the switch, the Boeing bulletin said. This issue is said to arise only during manual flight.
