Feeling a need to clear his conscience following last week's synagogue massacre in Pittsburgh, and in the midst of his own legal troubles, President Trump's former personal lawyer Michael Cohen said in a recent interview that he recalled several instances in which his former boss used racist and anti-gay language during one-on-one conversations.
Cohen told Vanity Fair that he's heard Trump make several racist comments over the years.
He's levelled a series of accusations against the President, including that Mr Trump made many racist remarks in front of him.
On a trip in the 2000s, when Cohen and Trump shared a vehicle during a ride through a tough neighborhood in Chicago, Trump looked around him and said, "Only the blacks could live like this". That's not all. During a conversation about The Apprentice, Cohen says Trump talked about his decision not to pick Kwame Jackson as the season one victor. Trump used the opportunity to disparage African-Americans.
Cohen also recounted a conversation he had with Trump in the late 2000s, while they were traveling to Chicago for a Trump International Hotel board meeting.

In August, Cohen pleaded guilty to charges including campaign finance fraud stemming from hush money payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels and ex-Playboy model Karen McDougal.
Cohen is reportedly cooperating with investigators in the Southern District of New York, the office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and New York State for various investigations into Trump's personal and political life.
As part of his plea agreement, Cohen agreed not to challenge any sentence from 46 to 63 months.
The report was likely bad news for Trump as Mueller's Russian Federation collusion investigation increasingly closes in on the White House.
