Kristen Bell called out 'Snow White' for normalizing rape culture. Let women

Snow White may be one of the most popular fairy tales ever, but one actress can not help but question the story of the beloved Disney princess. "Because you can not kiss someone if they're sleeping!" she told the magazine.

Obviously, the prince doesn't ask for consent from the sleeping Princess before he smacks the lips on her, which is why Kristen realised she has a problem with the fairytale after reading it to her young children.

She told Parents magazine: "Don't you think that it's weird that the prince kisses Snow White without her permission?"

In the 1938 feature-length cartoon, Snow White falls into a deep sleep after eating a poisoned apple given to her by a jealous witch.

Liverpool boost as Salah and Van Dijk join training
David Wagner believes that Jurgen Klopp will still name a strong side this weekend when the two sides meet on Saturday night. A broken thumb for Sadio Mane , which required surgery, could also force Klopp into further changes to his side.

Neither of those things are, thankfully, acceptable in 2018.

Bell's comments come on the heels of fellow Disney star Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms) saying that she "banned" her daughter from watching Cinderella and The Little Mermaid.

Fair enough. In fact, one could even say that "Snow White" teaches a lesson in cheerful naivete regarding the witch's trick.

She also uses the story to teach them about the dangers of talking to strangers and accepting gifts from them.

The parent said the Penguin edition of the 19th-century tale, which was made into a 1937 Disney film classic, contained culturally "inappropriate" images involving kissing and other forms of contact. I'd be happy to send you copies of snow white and of frozen, and you can then see the differences. "You might think I'm ruining the fantasy of it all, but these stories are promoting sexual violence, and I would like everyone to be aware of it". And I'm like, "Okay, I'm doing something right."' she explained. We were going to - you know.

Bell will be pleased to hear, however, that "Frozen" is "huge" in the British star's household, as well as recent Disney films like "Moana" and "Finding Dory".

"Because, you know, she waits around for a rich guy to rescue her. I mean, the songs are great but do not give your voice up for a man. Hello".
