Marvel and Netflix issued a joint statement after the series was cancelled, praising the cast, crew, and fan base for their support and work on the series.

According to reports, reasons for cancellation include creative differences, though it's not clear who was bumping heads, as well as the failure of Netflix and Marvel to agree on terms for a third season.
