The long-held notion that the iPad could not be considered a productivity device until it was able to run actual programs and not just scaled down app experiences, was largely held in place by the omission of Adobe's feature-heavy creative suite, until now.

Adobe Premiere Rush CC is now available for iOS (for iPhone, iPad, and Mac) and Windows, and will be available on Android some time next yaer, the company says. Premiere Rush CC also comes with built-in access to Motion Graphics templates in Adobe Stock. "Welcome Premiere Rush CC to the Creative Cloud family!" The app also supports automatic optimization for social media content, along with one-click publishing to platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Behance. There's also a Starter Plan to get, well, started, letting you create an unlimited number of projects but export only up to three of them.

Photoshop CC on iPad will let users open and edit native PSD files using Photoshop's industry-standard image-editing tools and will feature the familiar Photoshop layers panel.
