HMD Global is reportedly working on a mid-range smartphone which may go official in the coming weeks as the Nokia 7.1 Plus. As you can see from the picture above, the phone has a notched display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a resolution that'll likely come in at 1080 x 2280 Full HD+. On the optics front, it features a dual rear camera setup comprising of a 13-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The main highlight of the Nokia 6.1 Plus is the addition of a Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with an FHD+ display. For those unaware, the Nokia 5.1 Plus is actually a re-branded Nokia X5 that was launched in China back in July this year, with the difference being that Nokia 5.1 Plus is an Android One smartphone and is aimed at global markets. The original Nokia 7 Plus was received well and is even getting its Android Pie update soon, so this newer phone will hopefully be more of the same. The new model could replace the existing model and adopt the new design language that the rest of the Nokia's lineup is slowly being treated to. One of them Nokia 7.1 will be the spiritual successor to the Nokia 7 and may come without a notch.
