While Loki and Scarlet Witch, who are expected to be played by Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen respectively, were the only characters mentioned, there are plenty of characters in the MCU that could benefit from a show.
And if you're anxious about quality suffering like we've seen with so many of Marvel's other small screen efforts, don't, because Kevin Feige's said to be taking a hands-on role in each project, with Marvel Studios producing them for Disney.
Disney is going big with its upcoming direct to consumer streaming service, and it's reportedly bringing brand new Marvel Cinematic Universe content along for the ride.

Variety reports that Disney is now in the process of working on a few new Marvel series that'll be premiering exclusively via their new streaming site.
The series are likely to be big budget ventures and run between six and eight episodes.
Another important note from the report is that the new shows will focus on "second-tier" MCU characters, not topline ones like Captain America and Iron Man. As companies such as Netflix and Amazon continue to grow their user base, Disney is trying to find a way to establish a toehold in the streaming revolution upending Hollywood.
Cool Coric steers Croatia into Davis Cup final with France
The victor on the outdoor clay court along the Dalmatian Coast will meet defending champion France in the November 23-25 final. On hardcourt in France Benoit Paire defeated Spain's Pablo Carreno-Busta 7-5, 6-1, 6-0 in the first singles on Friday.
This news also comes as interest in Marvel TV's Netflix shows has waned considerably.
Currently, Disney is looking to tackle Loki and Scarlet Witch first, but that's not even the most exciting tidbit. That's a huge coup and raises the price of each of these potential limited series quite a bit, so Marvel likely wouldn't confirm anything until it had locked contracts from the potential stars anyway. With Feige's attachment to the shows, it means they will fall under the Marvel Studios production banner instead of Marvel TV that houses Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.as well as the various Marvel Netflix shows like Daredevil, Punisher, and Luke Cage. With Feige directly involved in these productions, they will surely feel much more connected to the larger MCU, which should help attract more fans. Will Loki and Scarlet Witch shows carry enough weight to hook viewers?
