Manchester United to bid for Juventus star Dybala

According to reports in Italian press, Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Juventus superstar, Paulo Dybala for a huge $107 million.

Boateng was one of several defenders who had been targeted by Manchester United in the transfer window as Mourinho aimed to bring in a new centre-half.

However, it wasn't to be and Mourinho ended up empty handed as executive vice chairman Ed Woodward failed to land any of his defensive targets so United will have to wait until at least January to get their hands on a new centre-back.

But a deal was never completed between United and Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich's Boateng had already made his stance clear on the transfer as he personally called Mourinho to rule himself out of any potential deal.

"I had enquiries from PSG and Manchester United", Boateng told Bild via Metro. It was no escape, but rather the thrill of a new challenge. I feel well at Bayern, it's one of the biggest clubs in the world. 'I explained to him that it's hard to leave, and if I do, everything has to be in place to top this club, ' explained Boateng.

However, Boateng showed his class during the phone-call and Mourinho will no doubt have appreciated his honest words.
