The top US general in the Middle East on Wednesday said the military remains "extraordinarily vigilant" about Iranian movements in the Persian Gulf following last week's Iranian naval exercise in and around the Strait of Hormuz.

"These are the most biting sanctions ever imposed", Trump tweeted on Tuesday.

Iran appears to be looking to discredit the U.S.in North Korea as a way to hamper President Trump's denuclearization effort.

That's because the EU is trying to protect European businesses that are trading in Iran from facing US sanctions.
