"Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver Robert Wickens, involved in a crash on Lap 7 of the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway today, has been admitted to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with orthopedic injuries".

For the second consecutive Verizon IndyCar Series race, Alexander Rossi put together a dominantly triumphant performance.

The race was red flagged, and drivers were allowed out of their cars while the fencing was repaired.

Track workers fix the catch fence following an accident involving Verizon IndyCar Series driver Robert Wickens (not pictured) and driver Ryan Hunter-Reay (not pictured) during the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway.

The fence incurred major damage that will take a lengthy period of time - IndyCar officials said it will take at least an hour in duration - and rain is approaching the area, as well.

Andretti, the owner of Hunter-Reay's vehicle, gave an interview to NBC Sports following the crash and appeared to place the blame exclusively on Wickens.

Man. City vs Huddersfield : Aguero gets hat trick in 6 -1 victory
That was to be Silva's last act in the second half as the Spaniard made way for Algeria global Riyad Mahrez in the 64th minute. Huddersfield got off to a rocky start to their second straight Premier League season, losing 3-0 to Chelsea at home.

James Hinchcliffe, Takuma Sato and Pietro Fittipaldi were also involved in the crash and multiple drivers were injured.

United States driver Graham Rahal - who crashed prior to the race's rolling start - tweeted his support during the lengthy delay.

"All 22 of us, 33 of us, whatever it may be, are a family", Rossi said. Power is fourth at 449 and Hunter-Reay fifth with 411.

Dixon finished third and his points lead over Rossi dipped to just 29 points, as neither driver can afford much of a slip up in the title hunt.

Rossi also won for Andretti Autosport on the streets of Long Beach in April and the Mid-Ohio road course three weeks ago.

Wickens was awake and alert when attended to by the AMR INDYCAR Safety Team and INDYCAR Medical staff. Hunter-Reay was uninjured. The two raced each other as youngsters in Toronto and Hinchcliffe, runner-up on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" in 2017, helped lure Wickens to IndyCar this season after a successful career in Europe.

Brighton punish woeful Manchester United defending
This was a great win for Brighton , but it raises a lot of questions for Manchester United's title aspirations. David De Gea will be disappointed he couldn't keep it out, Pascal Gross making no mistake.

The two open-wheel racing events have consulted on the best way to protect the drivers' exposed head and have been sharing data.

"It's exciting to get the win, but its tough to celebrate with what happened".

It was the second crash of the race, as Rahal wrecked Spencer Pigot while the green flag flew on Lap 1.

Dixon, who had only qualified 13th, had to weave his way through the debris.

"Somewhat of a frustrating day", Dixon said. Obviously, we took a bit of a hit there with Rossi (winning).

"Obviously, I'm just hoping Robbie's alright".

Government must stop overlooking '95% less harmful' e-cigarettes, say MPs
However, Public Health England claimed recently that e-cigarettes are "95 per cent safer" than conventional smoking. Rules around e-cigarettes should be relaxed to help accelerate already declining smoking rates, MPs have said.

It surely won't be next week at Gateway Motorsports Park or the rest of this season.
