The company has released Fortnite v5.21 patch that brings some significant improvements to the game. Finally, the classic Save the World mode is getting the new Machinist Hero, Thora.

The update applies to PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch and mobile versions of the game, our sister site GameSpot notes.

Tencent profit drop blamed on wait for new games approval
China has frozen approval of new game licenses amid a government shake-up, people familiar with the matter said this week. The art style was changed, but the game went on to be a huge success both in Tencent's native China and North America.

Epic Games reported having been notified of the problem in a Tweet issued yesterday.

NEW Fortnite 5.21 patch notes have arrived this morning and should now be live for players to download as confirmed by a new blogpost on the official Fortnite Website. The Heavy Sniper Rifle, which was first uncovered by data miners a few weeks back, makes its debut, and the Sniper Shootout Limited-Time Mode makes its return. Gliders can be re-deployed when falling from large heights.

Fortnite: Save the World gets a bit of love from the update too. It adds a new character called Thora, who "husks into traps and control areas when things get critical!"

In fact, Epic Games announced earlier today that it planned to fix those crashes. We are still not sure which devices have gotten into the first wave of the beta, so this list doesn't mean you should get in immediately or that every device listed is now supported. We've identified the issue and are working towards a fix. Also, as per a checklist provided by Epic Games, "this incident has now been resolved and players should now be able to update".
