In Unhinged: An Insider Account Of The Trump White House, published next week, Manigault Newman claims Trump is a "racist, bigot and misogynist".

Trump has responded by calling his former aide a "lowlife".

Like many who are invested in following this controversy, one Twitter user is curious about her motive behind releasing this book because "Omarosa knew about tapes of Trump using the N-word way back in The Apprentice, and yet she still went to work for him at the White House and still bragged to PBS Frontline that "every critic, every detractor will have to bow down to President Trump".

Manigault Newman was a contestant on Trump's "The Apprentice" reality show and later served as a senior adviser to the president.
