Hurricane Hector

The Hawaii Coast Guard issued the warning because “winds 39 mph or higher are possible”

A tropical storm warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected.

Hurricane Hector is tracking for a close call with Hawaii's Big Island, parts of which are still coping with destruction from the ongoing eruption of the Kilauea volcano.

The new English transfer deadline will be reviewed in September, Premier League executive chairman Richard Scudamore has said. It is going to be challenging, particularly for the promoted clubs, who effectively have two-and-a-half weeks less.

"Very rough surf is expected to impact mostly south- and east-facing coastal areas of the Big Island", AccuWeather meteorologist Dan Kottlowski said. Forecasters note that hurricane-force winds extend up to 35 miles from the center of the storm, and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles.

As a precaution, Hawaii County officials closed three beaches on the Big Island, according to Hawaii News Now. Hector is expected to weaken over cooler water before its center passes within 200 miles of the Big Island later this week, according to AccuWeather, though the island's southern tip is included in the NHC's five-day storm forecast cone. But often, the effect is additive when hurricanes come together - we usually end up with one massive storm instead of two smaller ones. The storm is relatively weak, far away and is not a threat to the Cayman Islands.
