Donald Trump calls European Union a 'foe'

A C-SPAN caller on Monday said what many in the Republican Party have been telegraphing: Russian President Vladimir Putin deserves thanks for interfering in the USA election.

"They're going to be paying Russian Federation billions and billions of dollars a year for energy, and I say that's not good, that's not fair", Trump told CBS.

"He (Putin) may deny it, "Trump said Thursday during the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels, Belgium, adding, "So all I can do is say, 'Did you?' and 'Don't do it again'". Their request comes after Robert Mueller's special counsel investigation indicted 12 Russian military intelligence officers on Friday for hacking the Democratic National Committee as well as Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

However, as National Security Advisor John Bolton pointed out on Fox News Sunday, Russia does not have an extradition treaty with the USA and has refused to hand over its citizens to European nations in past legal cases.

Earlier, the US authorities pressed charges against 12 Russians who are suspected of hacking email accounts of the Democratic Party leaders during the presidential election campaign in 2016.

Even Fox News is rebuking Trump over his meeting with Putin
Distinguished colleague, let me tell you this: When President Trump was in Moscow back then, I didn't even know that he was in Moscow.

Trump said on Twitter as he left for Helsinki on Sunday that he was "looking forward to meeting with President Putin". In an interview with CBS, which aired on Sunday, Trump likened the European Union to China and Russian Federation as America's economic adversaries.

The president declined to discuss his goals for the summit - "I'll let you know after the meeting", he said - but said he believed such get-togethers were beneficial in and of themselves.

"I think it's a good thing to meet", he said, adding: "Maybe some good will come out" of it.

"Sure he is, he's ruthless, but so are others", Trump said of Kim.

US President Donald Trump named the European Union as a "foe" of his country, along with Russian Federation and China.

World No. 1 Dustin Johnson is the leading pick at 14/1 followed by home favourites Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose (both 16/1). Had he hit a driver, he would have risked the ball rolling into the water (known as the Barry Burn) that fronts the green.

At the same time, the USA leader has promised to bring up the issue on Monday at his summit with Putin in Helsinki - but has been vague on whether he will call on Moscow to extradite the indicted suspects.

Mr. Trump has repeatedly said the investigation into suspected Russian interference in the 2016 US election - which he casts as a "rigged witch hunt" - makes it hard for him to do substantive deals with Moscow. "I think the European Union is a foe, what they do to us in trade".

During the 2016 presidential campaign, Clinton expressed similar sentiment about the Trump-Putin relationship. It is highly unlikely the Russians will ever be sent to the US. But he has also seemed to suggest that there is not much he can do to push back against the Russian leader's denials.

The Virginia senator was among the top Democrats in Congress who called for Trump to cancel his upcoming summit with Putin after the Justice Department announced the indictments.

He also again complained "it's a very bad thing for Germany" that the country depends on Russian gas, for which it is paying "billions" to Moscow. So the president quickly said, this is not my problem, I'm not the one being being attacked here, and there's no collusion here. "We are not looking for concrete deliverables", White House National Security Adviser John Bolton told ABC's This Week.

Backtracking president keeps stumbling over Russian Federation
THE FACTS: No, increased military spending by North Atlantic Treaty Organisation members is not "only because" of him. They have paid $33 Billion more and will pay hundreds of Billions of Dollars more in the future, only because of me.
