Did life once exist on the moon?

The lunar eclipse will last 1 hour and 43 minutes long, close to the theoretical longest lunar eclipse possible and the longest of the 21st century.

In 2003, Mars and Earth were the closest in almost 60,000 years - 34.6 million miles (55.7 million kilometers).

"Our talks this year put a heavy accent on our environment to help make people aware that while looking up at the heavens it is still vital to ensure we preserve our planet", Prof. "Whether life ever arose on the moon, or was transported to it from elsewhere, is of course highly speculative and can only be addressed by an aggressive future program of lunar exploration", they say in the Astrobiology paper.

A rare total lunar eclipse - expected to be the longest in the 21st century - is set to take place on Friday that will see the Earth's natural satellite turn blood red.

Official Samsung Galaxy Note 9 accessories leak
It could be happening, and it sounds like Samsung would pay a good sum to have Fortnite ready to go alongside its latest device. In the runup to the unveiling, the company is releasing a trio of teaser videos to increase the hype around its next flagship.

This is what gives the phenomenon the name "blood moon", though Mark Bailey of the Armagh Observatory in Northern Ireland said the colour can vary greatly. Unlike a solar Eclipse when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, blocking the sunlight, the moon is not "dark" during the blackout, and instead becomes blood-red. That means "the moon will come inside the shadow of the Earth and will stop receiving the light from the sun", Diego adds.

During the total eclipse, which begins at 7:30am, the Moon will be much fainter than usual. And on Friday, Mars will be in opposition.

Head media and corporate communications of the Agency, Dr. Felix Ale, told The Guardian: "The Eclipse in Nigeria will start around 6:44pm as partial eclipse and developed into a total eclipse around 7:30pm".

Talking to The Express Tribune, Abdul Rashid, director climate data processing centre, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the lunar eclipse will be witnessed from Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Antarctica.

Israel to build 400 settler homes in occupied West Bank
Some 300 Palestinians - a lot of them assailants, Israel says - have also been killed in that period, according to news agencies. The attacker was later identified by official Palestinian media as Mohammed Dar Youssef, 17, from the village of Kobar.

But what would life have looked like if it existed on the moon, and how did it originate?

The moon takes about 27 days to orbit Earth and goes through regular phases in a 29.5-day cycle.

In Invercargill, there was five minutes between sunrise at 8.12am and moonset shortly after, with the moon entirely within Earth's shadow. One study even showed that there was probably still ice or water trapped within the Moon's interior at the lunar poles - but the new study suggests that there could have been a significant amount of water on the surface of the Moon; many moons ago, so to speak. Low-frequency waves refract just enough to pass the earth and land on the moon.

A lunar eclipse happens when the Earth's shadow blocks the sun's light, which usually reflects off the moon.

If the Spurs really wanted to start over and rebuild, the Celtics would have afforded them the best opportunity to do so. Green revealed in a podcast on Tuesday that he had been dealing with a torn groin muscle .

Further research could also involve simulation chambers that would mimic the moon's conditions to see if life could have survived.
