A truck driver in Canada who crashed into a bus and killed 16 people in April was charged Friday with 29 counts of risky operation of a vehicle causing death and bodily injury. He was set to appear in court next week.

Saskatchewan RCMP said they will be releasing more details at a news conference on Friday at 1 p.m. local time.

Yesterday charges were laid against the 29-year-old driver of the semi-truck in the crash.

Sixteen people, including 10 Broncos hockey players, were killed and 13 others were injured in the collision that took place near Tisdale, Sask., on April 6.
