Milwaukee Brewers reliever Josh Hader took responsibility for racist and homophobic tweets that resurfaced while he was pitching in the All-Star Game Tuesday night.

Hader blocked his account on being alerted to the scandal after the game at Nationals Park in Washington DC, and later apologized for the messages.

"It was something that happened when I was 17 years old, and as a child, I was immature", Hader said.
