Kitty Hawk has not yet set a release date for its Flyer, but it has already set up a training facility on Lake Las Vegas to give people a taste of flying its baby.

"Flyer is Kitty Hawk┬┤s first personal flying vehicle and the first step to make flying part of everyday life".

Kitty Hawk, the California-based flying auto company founded by Google Alphabet CEO Larry Page, on Wednesday unveiled the final version of its latest model Flyer.

The group, named for the North Carolina town in which the Wright Brothers first took flight, previously showed off an all-electric autonomous flying taxi called the Cora.

The company says the vehicle is created to flown for recreational purposes over water and uncongested areas.

The Flyer, a recreational and lightweight aircraft, has been advertised as needing only an hour's-worth of training before pilots are ready to fly.

Piloting Kitty Hawk is as easy as playing the video game Minecraft, chief executive Sebastian Thrun said in published reports.

This latest model by Kitty Hawk has been designed, built, and tested by a team led by 2013 Sikorsky prize victor and Guinness world record holder Todd Reichert. Its price has not yet been disclosed. Powered by batteries, it can fly up to 10 feet off the ground at speeds up to 20 miles per hour.

The new flying machine is one of several concept vehicles being testing, with Uber and others in the mix.

The electric aircraft had 10 small lift rotors on its wings, making it capable of vertical take-off and landing like a helicopter.

Kitty Hawk said at 15m away, it sounds about as loud as a lawnmower, while from 75m away, the volume is on a par with a loud conversation.

Although for now the vehicle is expected to be used at amusement parks, the company have high hopes for their design.
