Lakers Tell LiAngelo Ball He's Not On Their Summer League Squad

Ball could theoretically play for another summer league team, although that's considered unlikely at this point.

LiAngelo Ball was a long shot to get drafted, and as many predicted, he did not hear his name called Thursday night.

The younger brother of Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball was not drafted after working out for the Lakers and Golden State Warriors, but had been hoping to score a summer league invite from L.A.

Iceland Captain, Gunnarsson: Nigeria Will Be Tougher Than Argentina
The Leicester City striker struck twice in the second half to keep the Super Eagles in with a chance of reaching the last-16. Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr said he is not under pressure ahead of the match.

LiAngelo had worked out leading up to the draft with the Lakers, but wherever LaVar Ball goes, a circus seems to follow, and it appears that isn't something Los Angeles wanted to have following them during the Summer League. The team did work him out during the pre-draft process. Unfortunately, reports indicate that answer is a strong "no", even with the Lakers' G League team in play.

However, that doesn't appear to be happening.

The Lakers informed LiAngelo Ball he will not be on their summer league team Thursday night after he went undrafted at the National Basketball Association draft, reports ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

Mosquito infected with West Nile Virus collected in Dauphin County
Unfortunately, with the added temperature spike comes the increase of West Nile Virus (WNV ) vectors, most notably mosquitoes. Wear a long sleeve shirt, long trousers , and a hat when going into mosquito-infested areas, such as wetlands or wooded areas.

Ramona Shelburne of ESPN reported that the Lakers informed LiAngelo Ball on Thursday night that he wouldn't be apart of their summer team roster, and that part of the reason was "more than basketball". In other words- the LaVar effect was real. No one else has an investment in the family, and there is no way another team is going to willingly bring on the LaVar Ball headache.

LaVar Ball's "speak it into existence" method has hit a snag. "It'll be the worst move they ever made", Ball said.
