The devices, priced at United States dollars 500 (approximately Rs 33,700) apiece, are being marketed and sold through Musk's other company, The Boring Company, which was set up in order to set up a subterranean transit network under Los Angeles to beat the city's endless traffic. 1,000 flamethrowers are being distributed today by The Boring Company at the first Not-A Flamethrower pickup party and buyers are ecstatic.

The clever idea behind these flamethrower pick up parties originally stemmed from the fact that shipping these devices proved to be quite hard given the fact that they contained propane.
