Backflipping FBI Agent Who Accidentally Shot Man Charged With Assault

According to the jail records, the 29-year-old Bishop was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday and has been booked into the Downtown Denver Detention Center. In the now viral video, Bishop can be seen dancing and then doing a backflip.

Bishop was off-duty and was among revelers at the Mile High Spirits and Distillery nightclub in downtown Denver in the early morning hours of June 2, Denver police said in a statement. In the video, Bishop is dancing and then performs a back flip.

Prosecutors said that additional charges may be filed based on the results of a pending blood alcohol content analysis of Bishop. During the flip, his gun falls out of his trousers and when Bishop picks it up, the gun fires.

Police said a patron was struck in the lower leg and was taken to a hospital. He was taken to the Denver Police Department headquarters and later released to an Federal Bureau of Investigation supervisor.

Mile High Spirits said on its Facebook page that the bar's management was "deeply saddened" by the incident.

"In order to preserve the integrity of the ongoing investigation, we are unable to comment regarding this matter", she said in statement.

Multiple sources told 9Wants to Know that Bishop is not assigned to the Denver office and works out of Washington D.C.

Paris incident: Armed man takes hostages
At least one other man was lightly injured while fighting with the hostage-taker and escaping before police arrived on the scene. The attacker, who appeared to be brandishing a fake weapon, had doused his remaining two hostages in petrol, the source said.

Thomas Reddington, 24, who was hit by the bullet in the leg, told "Good Morning America" on Thursday that he was still confused by the incident.

"Then I looked at my leg and see some brown residue".

"The FBI will continue to fully cooperate with the Denver Police Department and the Denver District Attorney's Office as this matter proceeds through the judicial process", Sanders said. The agent was on vacation at the time of the incident and not on duty.

Few Storm Chances For Monday
Isolated afternoon storms will likely give way to a more solid line of strong storms by late this evening. It won't be an all-day event with highs in the upper-70s to lower-80s, though cooler lakeside.
