He had previously stated the matter would be sorted before the World Cup, which begins on Thursday.

With ongoing speculation linking him with Barcelona, Griezmann had said he would confirm his position before France's World Cup opener against Australia on Saturday.

Many saw his press conference on Tuesday, four days before France's first fixture of the competition, as the ideal chance to do just that. I know that many of you were waiting for [his decision], but I will not be revealing it today.

"It will depend on how far we go, how we're going to finish" said the Barcelona legend and Argentina captain in an interview with Spanish Daily Sport.

Griezmann has been dedicating a lot of time to his decision, and reports claim that he's turned to French teammates while preparing for the World Cup for advice.
