The Viacom-owned network is developing a live-action reboot of the 1990s animated series, from Jeff Davis (Teen Wolf, Criminal Minds) and The Walking Dead/Fear The Walking Dead's Gale Anne Hurd, Deadline has confirmed. Davis will executive produce with Hurd, who produced the 2005 feature starring Charlize Theron.
The series is set in a future dystopian world where a young assassin teams up with a group of rebel biohackers to save humanity, and becomes known as the hero Aeon Flux.
Mbappe eases fears after ankle injury
Mbappe eased fears of a serious injury, posting on social media: "I'm fine, it was just a knock, so not serious. Kylian Mbappe was forced off injured during a France training session after suffering a knock from Adil Rami.
Aeon Flux is returning to its small-screen roots.
Released back on MTV in the Liquid Television days, Aeon Flux was an animated series that was full of violence, sex, and all around weirdness. Hurd produced the 2005 feature film, but was not involved with the original animated series. The first season was composed of six five minute shorts, but the second and third seasons had 15 half-hour episodes between the two seasons.
Louboutin takes trademark action in court over red-soled shoes
Christian Louboutin has won a key legal case in a long-running battle to protect its signature red soles from copycats. The Hague Court will deliver the final ruling on the matter based on the decision.
Speaking of live-action, it turns out that Aeon Flux is going to be revived for a live-action TV series! Produced by MTV Films and directed by Karyn Kusama, the film had an impressive cast that included Theron and Frances McDormand, but couldn't eke out either a critical or commercial victory. Adding insult to injury, the movie was panned by both critics and audiences, earning an abysmal nine percent score from its reviews, and a mere 39 rating from movie-goers. Davis also wrote a new version of War of the Worlds in 2016, that is said to be still in contention for a series order at MTV, and he's also working on a brand new incarnation of Teen Wolf for MTV, which is said to be a new anthology series that could potentially bring back characters from the original show. The first few seasons of Teen Wolf were actually quite good, and set up the supernatural series to be this generation's answer to Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
