While we don't know much about how she will make her debut, Batwoman's arrival in the Arrowverse is huge news. Batwoman also showed up in the direct-to-video animated films Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman, where she was voiced by Kyra Sedgwick, and Batman: Bad Blood, this time voiced by Yvonne Strahovski. The heroine, who was first introduced as Kathy Kane in the July 1956 DC Comics issue Detective Comics #233, is one of a number of powerful vigilantes that keep a watchful eye over the city that houses Arkham Asylum, Blackgate Penitentiary, Iceberg Lounge, Wayne Enterprises, and Wayne Manor. The modern version, Kate Kane, was reintroduced in 2006 and is of Jewish descent and a lesbian.
