Entertainment Weekly revealed that the series will have Candice's character Murphy anchoring a morning show with her son hosting a rival conservative news program.

Kahl, along with Thom Sherman, CBS' senior executive vice president of programming, also shared a bit of what will happen in the new "Murphy Brown".

CBS released the first trailer for the revival of the long-running hit comedy "Murphy Brown". Amid a divided nation, chaotic national discourse and rampant attacks on the press, Murphy returns to the airwaves with her original FYI team: lifestyle reporter Corky Sherwood, investigative journalist Frank Fontana and producer Miles Silverberg. The original series aired for 10 years on CBS, from 1988 to 1998, and received 62 Emmy nominations with 18 wins and 15 Golden Globe nominations with three wins.

So the Merc with the Mouth - as comic fans know him - assembles his own, low-rent version of the X-Men to protect Russell. Reynolds is reportedly a big fan of the Marvel character, and he has made this obvious on several occasions.

The new comedies are "The Neighborhood", about a white family moving into a black neighborhood, and "Happy Together", which focuses on a pop star taking up residence in a young couple's spare room.

In addition to the original stars, new characters are also introduced in the video.

CBS has ordered 13 episodes.

Two other new dramas, The Code and The Red Line, and new comedy Fam will be held for midseason, along with returning shows Instinct, Elementary, Man with a Plan, and Life.
