Senator Babafemi Ojudu, one of the aspirants for the All Progressives Congress (APC) gvernorship ticket in Ekiti State, has blamed former Governor of the state and current Minister of Mines and Steel, Dr Kayode Fayemi, for the violence that broke out during Saturday's primary.
Reacting to the outcome of the election in Ifaki-Ekiti on Sunday, Oni, who was also former APC national deputy chairman (South), wondered how Mogaji Aliyu, said to be an ally of Fayemi could be made a secretary of the committee organising the election.
Meanwhile, Gov. Ayodele Fayose has condemned the violence that marred the APC primary, describing it as shameful and a clear indication that "the APC will fail woefully in the July 14 governorship election because apart from its rejection by Ekiti people, the party has become a house divided against itself that can never hold".
Pulse reported earlier that the APC national leadership will decide the fate of primary after the Al-Makura committee submits its report to the party's secretariat in Abuja.
