Kellyanne Conway: James Comey 'Swung' 2016 Presidential Election

Senior White House advisor Kellyane Conway was sent to the media wolves and enduring the wrath of those on social media in the wake of the explosive ABC interview with former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey, who had some harsh critique of the president.

Kellyanne Conway doesn't actually think that James Comey's decisions in the 2016 election affected the outcome, clarifying remarks she made on Good Morning America this morning.

"This guy swung an election", Conway said to ABC's George Stephanopoulos.

"He thought the wrong person would win", Conway said. Conway is referring to Comey's admission that he thought Hillary Clinton would win easily, which is one of the reasons he wasn't anxious about reopening the email investigation ten days before the election.

In her chat with Cuomo, Conway insulated that Comey didn't have the power to swing the election, contradicting herself from earlier statements. "As I said dozens of time, Hillary, not Comey, is why Hillary lost", she wrote.

She also smacked down the IJR for running with ABC's framing.

"This misleading headline should include an eye roll and question mark". "I rolled my eyes and said really, this guy swung an election?" I don't think so.

He went on, "I was not his fan, but I'll tell you what, what he did he brought back his reputation".
