The weather service's outlook shows the enhanced risk of severe weather extending into much of North Carolina.
Clear conditions return Sunday, but temperatures will be cool behind the storm with a range of 38-61 forecast for Meridian on Sunday.
Showers and thunderstorms in advance of the cold front are expected to reach the Rock Hill area by early afternoon, with the worst of the weather predicted for the mid and late-afternoon hours.
Rain, snow, sleet and "all precipitation types" are likely with the storm that also is poised to deliver strong winds and blizzard conditions, the National Weather Service said.

The tornado watch covers areas south of Interstate 64 and west of Interstate 95, including metro Richmond, South Hill, Famville, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Crewe and Lawrenceville.

Although thunderstorms are possible Monday morning into Monday Afternoon, they are not expected to be severe at this time, the forecast said.
The possibility of tornadoes or hail are listed as low, but with the enhanced risk, isolated tornadoes can not be ruled out.
