Investigators say Reiss killed her husband in Minnesota back in March, then shot and killed a Florida woman who looked like her.

The subject of a nationwide manhunt, Riess was arrested Thursday in the lobby of a restaurant in South Padre Island, Texas after someone recognized her and called police.

She was transported to the Cameron County Jail and after her extradition hearing will be transferred to Florida, where she faces charges for murder, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and grand theft and criminal use of personal identification.

The panel of three justices said that the hospital must be "free to do what has been determined to be in Alfie's best interests". The family want to fly Alfie to Bambino Gesú, a hospital in Rome, who have reportedly said they will treat the little boy.

Earlier Thursday, new information showed that Riess had stopped at a Louisiana casino and won a jackpot prize.

Investigators believe Riess also killed 59-year-old Pamela Hutchinson of Florida to steal her identity.

Riess waived her right to a court-appointed attorney, saying she has a lawyer in Minnesota.
