Jordan Peele, Buzzfeed, Barack Obama Put Together Hilarious 'Fake News' PSA

Fake news is a problem that "Get Out" writer/director Jordan Peele in collaboration with BuzzFeed hopes to fix ― by literally putting words in the mouth of former President Barack Obama.

The 72-second segment begins as what appears to be a message from Obama. "Even if they would never say those things". "Moving forward, we need to be more vigilant with what we trust from the internet", Peele says as Obama.

Peretti, whose sister is Peele's wife, comedian Chelsea Peretti, insisted he felt the video was an ideal fit for BuzzFeed, which has previously reported on fake news. "Or, Ben CarsonBenjamin (Ben) Solomon CarsonTrump admits mistakes with Cabinet picks Feds form task force to combat sexual harassment in housing Senate braces for showdown over Trump's nominees MORE is in the sunken place!"

He also shared "This is a unsafe time".

In a public service announcement created by Peele and BuzzFeed CEO Jonah Peretti and disseminated on social media on Tuesday, Obama appears to be giving a honest but stern address.

"I always enjoy talking with Jordan, and he's actually very interested in news and the news business and understanding how information spreads", explained Peretti. Rather, they got the next best person: Jordan Peele, who not only does a famously spot-on Obama impression but has almost as high an approval rating as our 44th president in the wake of making Get Out.

Former Jets C Nick Mangold Announces Retirement
He lived through all of the ups and downs of the AFC Championship runs in 2009 and 2010 to the dismal seasons that came later. Mangold was cut that offseason, part of a purge of veteran players so the Jets could begin a rebuilding process.

The video was generated using After Effects, an off-the-shelf motion-graphics program, and Fakeapp - an artificial-intelligence video-editing program that has been used mainly for superimposing celebrities' faces onto porn scenes. He then used FakeApp to smooth over and refine the footage - a rendering that took more than 56 hours of automatic processing.

But of course, its a clever lip sync trick with Obama's voice being provided by Peele, who famously played Obama in the "Anger Translator" series he did with Keegan Michael-Key on Comedy Central's "Key & Peele".

Peele as Obama added, "It may sound basic, but how we move forward in the Age of Information is gonna be the difference between whether we survive or whether become some kind of f-- up dystopia".
