Dak Prescott: Dez Bryant release was 'not my decision'

Per a league source, the #Eagles will not pursue or explore Dez Bryant.

There something to be said about Prescott noting putting all of the "football stuff behind you".

Bryant, heading toward his 30th birthday (Nov. 4) and looking like a diminished receiver over the last couple seasons, should see the Ravens as an ideal spot. Seeing the Rams quickly become an attractive team for players to join with their increased odds to win the Super Bowl has been truly incredible to witness, but when it comes to Dez Bryant, this is a move that seems unnecessary to even consider.

Instead, the team will now have to rely on an unproven rookie to carry the burden. Ryan Switzer and Cole Beasley serve the same goal, so they can't even be on the field at the same time.

Dembele: I won't leave Barcelona after just one season
Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele insisted he would be at the LaLiga giants "for a long time" despite being yet to hit top form. A serious hamstring injury within his first few matches has restricted the Frenchman's chances of impressing this season.

Bryant is very specific here.

The timing of the Bryant release is head-scratching. "He did a lot of great things for us, obviously".

Not long after being overtly recruited to play in Houston by Texans players DeAndre Hopkins and Tyrann Mathieu, free agent wide receiver Dez Bryant has followed several Texans on Instagram.

Of course, the Cowboys now have to deal with a disgruntled Dez, from the outside not the inside. The Ravens already have signed receivers Michael Crabtree and John Brown this offseason but they might not be finished adding to quarterback Joe Flacco's arsenal of wideouts. Prescott doesn't have that same knack for back-shoulder fades, and it was apparent in the two years of Prescott and Bryant playing together.

France persuaded Trump to strike in Syria, says Macron
France's participation in the US-led military operation in Syria sparked fierce debate at home on Saturday. The Western states have accused forces of Assad of an attack with the use of chemical weapons in Duma.

Bryant didn't name names, but insinuated a captain or captains worked against him.

By cutting Bryant now, the Cowboys made a move to better themselves now, and free themselves financially moving forward. The only question was whether he'd be taking less than $12.5 million in 2018 salary with the Cowboys or with someone else.

The Cowboys can now start to toy with the idea of resigning franchise RG Zach Martin, or giving breakout pass rusher Demarcus Lawrence an extension.
