Gupta update: NPA confirm R250 million of assets will be seized

Krause said the Gupta legal team would then bring an urgent challenge to the freezing of the family's properties and seek an urgent reconsideration of the latest asset preservation order granted in the Estina Dairy Project case.

The R250 million in seized assets will be restrained pending the outcome of a criminal trial.

The unit said that the Bloemfontein High Court granted the order, which allowed it to seize assets from the family to the tune of R250 million.

South African Revenue Service (Sars) and the South African Police Service (Saps) have raided the Gupta compound in Saxonwold on Monday. The Gupta family spokesman could also not be reached.
