Launched in China back in December, the Redmi 5 sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (720x1440) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The resolution of the display is 720×1440 pixels.

The Redmi 5 is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC based on a 14nm FinFET technology and coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The internal storage of the phone is expandable via microSD card.
