The head of SpaceX, Elon Musk, has released a new video of the launch of Falcon Heavy, which propelled a Tesla Roadster electric vehicle into space in early February.
Elon Musk's surprise SXSW talk this morning was a heavy and grave affair, full of discussion around all the ways humanity may be doomed in the future: from carbon in the atmosphere, World War III, and above all, runaway artificial intelligence.
The Q&A comes after Musk's unexpected cameo (or, technically, his crashing) of HBO's Westworld panel on March 10, where he discussed the sci-fi show's themes while ruminating on inspiration and why it's so crucial to balance out "the negative things in the world".

"There are a lot of bad things happening all over the world, all of the time", Musk said. "But life can not just be about solving one miserable problem after another...there needs to be things that inspire you, that make you glad to wake up in the morning and be part of humanity". "That can't be the only thing. Lots of things that are miserable and kind of get you down", Musk told the audience. "That's why we did this".

Chuck Todd Responds To Trump - Vulgarity "Creates A Challenge To All Parents"
Todd interjected, asking Mnuchin if folks should not be concerned with morals or the comments coming from the president. Former Congressman Joe Walsh also went online to express his opinion on the matter.
"We are building the first Mars, or interplanetary ship, and I think we'll be able to [have] short trips, flights by [the] first half of next year", he said in a question-and-answer session at the SXSW.
Pragmatically speaking, the launch was also an incredibly successful technology demonstration that all but completely validated the many hundreds of thousands of work hours SpaceX engineers have put into perfecting the design of Falcon Heavy - a success that sent whiplash-inducing reverberations throughout the political, industrial, and journalistic aerospace communities.
