SEGA Mega Drive Classics Collection Officially Announced for May

The age of nostalgia continues in all of its glory as Sega officially reveals the Sega Genesis Classics coming to PlayStation 4 and and Xbox One consoles this May 29th!

This isn't the first time that Sega has launched its Genesis collection.

Microsoft to add new Azure regions in Germany, Switzerland, UAE
Over the last three years, Microsoft has more than doubled the number of Azure regions available. The centers will be located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Unfortunately, that implies a low effort release using existing ports, that Sega couldn't be bothered to get working on the Switch (or maybe they're saving them for the Virtual Console?).

Nevertheless, that doesn't mean a SEGA character won't appear in the upcoming Super Smash Bros for the Switch, wherein Knuckles makes our crossover wishlist.

If you purchase the physical edition of SEGA Mega Drive Classics in the United States or EMEA regions, you'll also get a double-sided Golden Axe and Streets of Rage poster, identical to the one seen in the retro game's bedroom in the announcement trailer you can view below. It is releasing on May 29. Concerning this accidental leak and date, a Sega spokesperson stated, "the gun was jumped a little bit there..."

Sega has only confirmed that the collection will be headed to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC even though the Nintendo Switch seems like the ideal console for these games. There will nearly certainly be more games included in the Sega Genesis Collection than what's shown in the trailer, but Sega obviously wanted to pull out its heaviest hitters for the promotion. Recently, the company accidentally released the full Yakuza 6 game as a demo, but it doesn't seem likely that gamers would complain about these kinds of mistakes.

Trump's decision to impose steep tariffs on steel and aluminum imports was the final straw for the former Wall Street banker. With Goldstein gone, the State Department has only one permanent undersecretary in place out of six.

Now this is something that Sega fans will be excited to hear.
