Packers to release wide receiver Jordy Nelson

The move comes around the same time that the Packers have released star wide receiver Jordy Nelson, reports NFL Network.

The Packers also signed defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson, who visited the team last week. I knew somebody had to go, you can't have three receivers making ten million a year.

In Graham, the Packers will try to replicate what they got from the tight end position in 2016, when Jared Cook played such an enormous role in the "run-the-table" winning streak that turned the Packers from a 4-6 team to one that lost in the NFC Championship Game.

'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' trailer released
One fan tweeted: "I've very excited but very distracted because YOU CAN'T APPARATE ANYWHERE IN THE HOGWARTS GROUNDS". After an introductory picture of the full cast, now the trailer has brought few glimpses from the upcoming film.

But Graham would have just one more 100-yard game the rest of his Seahawks career - an eight-catch, 103-yard, two-TD game in a Monday night win against Buffalo in week eight. Nelson would be a quality veteran to put with Joe Flacco and a young receiver added through the draft. Lance Kendricks, who was signed the day after Bennett, caught one. With Nelson, Randall Cobb and Davante Adams, the Packers had three receivers who would have combined to take up more than $35.7 million in salary cap space this season.

Nelson played in 15 games, catching 53 passes-his lowest mark since 2012-and six touchdowns, his fewest since 2010. His best season might have been in 2014, when he caught 98 passes for 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Outside of his touchdowns, however, Graham suffered a decline in his production.

The Packers have Lance Kendricks at tight end, but Richard Rodgers is due to become a free agent. His 520 receiving yards represented a significant drop-off from 2016, when he had 923 receiving yards.

Rodgers has two years left on his deal, but he's been involved in extension talks that everyone assumes make him the highest paid player in National Football League history. He missed the entire 2015 season to a torn ACL, but returned in 2016 to record 97 catches for 1,257 yards.

Davante Adams, who has emerged as the No. 1 receiver, signed a contract extension a year ago.

She hopes her success will bring the Paralympic Games the same attention as the Olympics. The keen skateboarder has now medalled again in his Winter Paralympic debut.

While the Packers had been mentioned as a possible suitor for Graham, there had been a growing thought in the last day or so that he would return to his old home in New Orleans.
