An inclusion rider is the idea that people who have negotiating power in the film industry, such as A-list actors, directors, and producers, insist on language in their contracts demanding diversity in both on-screen and behind-the-camera positions.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have revealed that they will support Inclusion Riders in all future projects.

The whole thing was thrown into the spotlight by Frances McDormand during his Oscar speech, and already Brie Larson and Michael B. Jordan have agreed to take on the clause in all future films.

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety surpasses PadMan at the box-office
Luv Ranjan shared, "I am grateful to the audience who has whole-heartedly accepted the films I make and believe in". The movie has succeeded in dethroning Padman and becoming the 2nd highest grosser of 2018 after Padmaavat .

Fanshen Cox DiGiovanni made the announcement on Monday night via Twitter at the South by Southwest Film Festival.

The Pearl Street Films company will adopt the inclusion rider for all of its projects moving forward, The Hollywood Reporter reported.

Actress Frances McDormand brought attention to inclusion riders when, earlier this month, she concluded her Best Actress Oscar acceptance speech with, "I have two words to leave with you tonight, ladies and gentlemen: inclusion rider". She's also on the board of the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, the think tank housed at the University of Southern California that was, conveniently, founded by Dr. Stacy L. Smith, the co-originator of the official inclusion rider.
