FreeSync, like Nvidia's G-Sync, helps remove tearing or stuttering usually associated with gaming on monitors, as the technology syncs refresh rates to ensure games run smooth. It also introduces tighter standards for a more consistent FreeSync experience across supported monitors. The Xbox One X will be able to take advantage by automatically sending the necessary signal to the TV when gameplay starts. Later this year, the Xbox One will also support an Auto Low Latency Mode which will switch supported TVs, including select Samsung models, to a low-latency mode while playing games.
