In an unprecedented development, an impeachment motion against the Chief Justice of India, Dipak Misra, is being readied by opposition parties, including the Congress. Times Now has learned that regional parties have approached the Congress for support on the move.

"Many parties like NCP, Left parties and I think TMC and Congress also have signed it", it quoted Tripathi as saying. Presently, some Rajya Sabha MPs of the Congress, Nationalist Congress Party, RJD and the Left parties have signed on the impeachment proposal expected to be brought in the Rajya Sabha.
