Officials say the Southwest flight left Phoenix but had to touch down in Albuqurque around 9:00 p.m. Sunday after smoke filled the cabin. It did not confirm reports of two people being rushed to the local hospital.
Southwest Flight 3562 was headed from Phoenix to Dallas Love Field but was forced to land in Albuquerque after what might have been an electrical fire. After the aircraft landed in Albuquerque, 140 passengers evacuated via escape slides onto a taxiway, and five requested assessment by medical personnel, according to Southwest.
Southwest Airlines said the diverted aircraft remains in Albuquerque while mechanics inspect the plane.

Two people were transported to area hospitals.
It was possibly caused by an electrical fire. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
The exact number of passengers present in the plane at the time of the incident has also not been revealed yet. The airport tweeted their praise of the firefighters "for a quick response".
