The CNN anchor and his boyfriend, Benjamin Maisani, have called it quits after nine years together, Us Weekly confirms.

The 50-year-old newsman released a statement to ET on Thursday, announcing that he and live-in boyfriend Benjamin Maisani had broken up after first going public with their relationship in 2015. "We remain the best of friends, and will continue to share much of our lives together", he said.

It brings us a moderate amount of pleasure to think that Coop is back on the market, but only in a daydreaming fantasy sort of way.
