Nearly simultaneously, Congress MLA Vikram Madam raised his hand but was not allowed to speak.

He was later suspended by the Speaker following which Congress MLA Amrish Der began speaking in his support. Following this, Congress legislators Ambrish Der and Virji Thumar rushed to the well and raised objection with the Speaker. The Speaker first warned them to return to their respective seats, and then suspended them from the House.

BJP has registered an official complaint with the Assembly Speaker seeking disciplinary action against the Congress MLA for the assault.
