Thomas Davis: 2018 will be my last season

Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis will not retire this offseason, but the 2018 season "will definitely be my last year", the 34-year-old told NFL Media.

Mark Wahlberg reportedly demanded $1.5m before approving Christopher Plummer's casting
That works out to Williams being paid less than one-tenth of 1% of her male co-star. Wahlberg and Williams are both represented by WME.

Davis told NFL.com's Brooke Cersosimo of his plans, and the Panthers tweeted the following picture shortly thereafter.

"This was a tough year for me", Davis said. "Like, 'This is how long they want me here for.' This is how much time I have to dedicate to this organization to try to win a Super Bowl, and that's my mindset".

A first-round pick out of Georgia in 2005, Davis has spent his whole career in Carolina.

The CM told security personnel deployed at the venue of the public meeting "do not worry about any protests. They try to mislead and provoke others but people should not get perturbed over such minor happenings".

In 2014, Davis was named the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year. He had 76 tackles this season, the first time since 2011 - when he suffered a third ACL tear in his right knee - that he did not have at least 100 tackles. He missed only one game in 2017 and it came following a suspension after an illegal hit to the head of Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams.
