Sharon Stone's road to recovery

Actress Sharon Stone says she there was a time when she had just "five per cent chance" of surviving.

She appeared on CBS Sunday to promote her new limited HBO series Mosaic when reporter Lee Cowen asked the question-which, after waves of allegations rocking Hollywood and plethora of #MeToo stories, seems almost redundant.

The Golden Globe victor burst into laughter, while Cowan asked, "You're laughing, but I don't know if that's a nervous laugh, or an Are-you-kidding-me-of-course-I-was laugh?" I started to see and be met by some of my friends ... people who were very, very dear to me [who had died]'. After suffering a stroke in 2001 that caused a nine-day brain haemorrhage, she spent years hiding her health crisis from Hollywood while she learned to walk and talk all over again.

"I don't know how to ask this in a delicate way, but were you ever in a position like that, that you felt that you were uncomfortable?". My whole life was wiped out.
