Orioles, Machado Agree To $16M Deal For 2018 Season

Orioles and INF Manny Machado avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $16 million contract. Before the deal was complete, Machado had been linked to several other teams, including the Yankees, White Sox and Red Sox.

MLB.com reports that the Orioles have not yet confirmed the deal. If they keep him for the season, they could receive a compensatory pick after he turns down a qualifying offer.
