James Franco scored his second Golden Globe win Sunday night, winning best actor in a comedy or musical for "The Disaster Artist".

During Franco's acceptance speech, he paid tribute to Wiseau, inviting him onto the stage but stopping him from taking control of the microphone.

Social media exploded at the moment; some saying it was wise because Wiseau is sometimes peculiar, others upset the man who the film is about didn't get to say something.

White House asks to screen 'The Post'
For me personally, this movie proved to be a strong reminder of why I am a journalist. The Post is a film that is going to be relevant during awards season.

In order to prepare for the role of director/star/producer Tommy Wiseau, Franco bulked up and worked on his accent.

No such luck. However, the Los Angeles Times caught up with Wiseau after the ceremony, at which point praised Franco as an actor and director. Franco directed Sheedy in an Off Broadway production of "The Long Shrift".

Social media went insane over the viral moment and wondered if Franco stopped the filmmaker from speaking because he's known for being a bit of a character.

Brightline slates fares and service date
Brightline President Patrick Goddard on Thursday hailed the launch of Brightline as a "transformative" moment for South Florida. Brightline is expected to expand operations to MiamiCentral, the 11-acre multi-modal hub, in the coming months.

Wiseau had high hopes for The Room when he released it in 2003, but the "Citizen Kane of bad movies" never made it to an awards show.

The film not only earned Franco critical acclaim, he's been honored with Best Actor nominations for the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Critics Choice Movie Awards and the Film Independent Spirit Awards.

Needless to say, everyone (including Seth Rogen) was wondering just what The Room star would have said had he gotten the chance. The book later served as the basis for The Disaster Artist, in which Franco portrayed Wiseau. See The Room, have fun, and enjoy life. "Because it's really not about [The Room], it's about these two guys and their friendship and their dream to make movies".

Backup quarterback Derek Anderson took over under center while Newton was examined in the medical tent on the Panthers' sideline. Shortly after, Brees threw a 46-yard completion to Michael Thomas for a first-and-goal at the 5. "That was huge", Brees said.

"When I was at NYU, I always said that I wanted my own Coen Brother, someone to collaborate with", Franco said after accepted the Golden Globe for his performance as the eccentric impresario Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist. So what, I'm not invited. The Oscar nominations will be announced January 23, and if Franco wins, he could always hand the microphone to Wiseau.
