Several witnesses told police they had heard an argument between the suspect and another passenger and the suspect made threats to kill "everyone on the bus" and reportedly made a motion to his waistband that he was removing a gun, police say. The caller stated a man on the bus was threatening to shoot people.

33-year-old Margarito Vargas-Rosas was arrested and could be charged with Making Terroristic Threats, a felony, and disorderly conduct. Police pursued the bus, which crossed over from Wisconsin into IL.

The bus was traveling with 50 passengers on board from Milwaukee to Chicago when the incident began around 9:50 p.m. CDT, Greyhound said in a statement. "He was acting insane". "The first thought in my mind was that they were escorting us, but then it's like okay maybe they're not because I see some of them pulling over and I couldn't see what they were doing".

There were 37 people on the bus.
